This year’s Carers Week, a UK-wide annual awareness campaign is from Monday 6th – Sunday 12th June 2016. Its aim is to improve the lives of carers and the people they care for and to recognise the important contribution informal unpaid carers make. This year the theme of Building Carer Friendly Communities continues highlighting that ‘the whole community not only need to become aware of the vital role that unpaid carers have within our community but to also take an active role in reaching out to support them’.
If you or anyone you know in the town needs support in their caring role, please visit us at one of our promotional events to speak directly to Carers Careline staff over the week-
Friday 3rd June – Asda, Redditch from 10am – 4pm
Tuesday 7th June – Carer ‘Drop In’ at the Ecumenical Centre, Redditch – a special Drop In for all our registered carers, or for those who are currently caring for someone who could not manage without their help to drop in for a cuppa and a chat.
Wednesday 8th June – Kingfisher centre from 10am – 4pm
Thursday 9th June – Sainsburys, Redditch from 10am – 4pm
In addition, there is a week- long display in the town centre library.
Carers Careline would like to thank the Asda, the Kingfisher Centre, Sainsburys, and the Redditch library for their kind support.
